2025 Liberty High Relief Gold Proofs
No more than 12,000 will be struck. Only 50 will be granted the special pedigrees described and shown here.
The United States Mint began its American Liberty Gold series in 2015, taking advantage of new technologies that make striking high relief coins more practical than when when first attempted by the Mint at the turn of the 20th century.
Released every two years, officials have gradually lowered production limits to stoke an increasingly elite status for the signature numismatic series. Ahead of the release of the 2025 issue, the Mint has announced a limit of just 12,000 proof coins - a small fraction of limits imposed early in the program.
As one might expect, collectors have realized handsome profits from trading previous issues of this series. With the lowest production limit yet imposed, the 2025 issue could be destined to become the most profitable and desirable date in the numismatic market. Price guides indicate recent issues can draw up to $20,750 in the secondary market.

Since its establishment more than 230 years ago, the United States Mint has issued many coins depicting liberty, as personified by female figures. Following a trend introduced in 2021, the 2025 American Liberty Gold Proof Coin offers a different interpretation — a bold representation of the stewardship required to preserve American liberty. The obverse (heads) design features a sunflower and a bee.
