2025 marks the 25th anniversary of the launch of the Sacagawea Dollar coin. In celebration, the United States Mint has released a 24-karat one-half ounce gold proof coin featuring the original Sacagawea design. The new issue is struck in one-half ounce of .9999 fine 24-karat gold, placing it among the world’s purest gold coins.

Michael “Miles” Standish was a best-selling numismatic author, and former vice-president at both NGC and PCGS grading services. Miles was named among the top 10 most influential people in numismatics of the past 60 years by Coin World magazine. He passed away unexpectedly in July 2023, a tragic loss to the coin community. He had signed labels for selected upcoming releases, which will be among the last to ever bear his signature.
